Foundation nasolabial folds — cannula, plane and how much per side?
Just want to sense-check my NLF approach against how it's taught. Product volume, plane, and do you really treat cheeks first?

How we teach NLFs on foundation: • Assess the cause first — a lot of NLF depth is loss of cheek fat-pad support, so treat the cheeks first and reassess the lifting effect. Often you need less in the fold than you think. • Entry: a small insertion point at the lower end of the fold (a green needle is commonly used to make the port), then a cannula in the mid-to-deep dermal plane. • Technique: advance the cannula, inject slowly on withdrawal (linear retrograde thread), fan for even distribution where needed. • Guide volume: roughly 0.5–1 ml per side — but it's a guide, assess each patient. Go slow, low pressure, and keep the vascular danger in mind — the facial/angular artery runs in this territory, so this is not an area to be heavy-handed or fast.

'Treat the cheek first and reassess' saved me a lot of product. Half my early NLF cases barely needed the fold touched once the mid-face was supported.
