Who can inject and prescribe in US? Getting the rules straight
Trying to understand the regulatory setup before I start offering injectables. What are the rules where we are?
For licensed aesthetic professionals only. Guidance here supports — and never replaces — your clinical judgement. Do not upload identifiable patient data.

In the US, who can inject and how they must be supervised is state-regulated — physician, NP, PA and RN scope, plus any physician-supervision/delegation and good-faith-exam requirements, vary by state. Follow your state medical/nursing board. There is no single federal minimum age; many states and practices restrict cosmetic injectables to 18+. Check your state law. Botulinum toxin and most fillers are prescription-only / regulated products — make sure the paperwork (prescriber, order, records) is right before anyone is injected. When in doubt, check directly with your regulator rather than copying what a course in another country taught.
This is the part people get wrong when they train abroad — the clinical technique travels, the regulatory model does not. Confirm it locally.
